The warmth of the sun inhabits the air
While parents hold onto their children with care
Crowds gather at the Anaheim gates
To enter the land of dreams that them await
It is 10 in the morning and it is time to explore
The greatness of dreams and magic and more
Walk a little further and in your first sight
You see an elegant, vivid castle that brightens at night
My family’s right there by my side
Anxious to go on several rides
The miniature stores and ice creameries fill up
With people who just want to stay there and shop
I, however, walk to a special place
A place that always brings a smile to my face
Standing in front of the Walt Disney statue
I close my eyes and say the words “Thank You”
When I shift my brown eyes away from the figure
I rush to the ride that makes me feel older
The last time I came here I was 3 inches smaller
But now I’m the right size and I am much taller
I buckle my seatbelt with my mom to my side
And scream out loud to enjoy this great ride
I drag my family to all the other attractions
Rollercoasters and teacups that do remarkable actions
After waving my arms and screaming out loud
I rush back to Main St. that is swarmed by big crowds
Energetic music rushes out of the speakers
As little children start acting as attentive, bright seekers
Trumpets play to introduce the parade
That is the highlight of children throughout the whole day
Characters dance along the gray, pavement road
And even includes the famous Mr. Toad
As these notorious identities exit this joyous street
The audience rises back on his or her tiring feet
The sky darkens and the stars begin to shine
And the whole park silences, not even a whine
Fireworks shoot up into luminous sparks
To add color and joy to the gloomy dark
“A dream is a wish your heart makes”
What a lovely tune
“When you wish upon a star”
Along with the silver moon
“It’s a small world after all”
Who knew!
“It’s supercalifragilisticexpialidocious”
What else is new?
“Disneyland is the happiest place on earth”
That’s true
Disneyland makes me the happiest person on earth
That’s definitely true
